A unique view of Alsace

Rise above Strasbourg, leave the bustle of the city behind and, within seconds, discover another side of Alsace. From Entzheim airport, private flights in small aircraft let you see the region from a spectacular angle. Available from €69 per person, the experience appeals as much to lovers of landscapes as to anyone looking for a moment out of time.

➡️ Scenic flight experience by plane

The city of Strasbourg, its cathedral towering over the rooftops, stands out clearly as you gain altitude. All around, the plains take shape, dotted with villages and perfectly aligned vineyards.

Tailor-made flight routes

Several routes are available from Strasbourg, so you can tailor the experience to suit your wishes:

  • Short flight around Strasbourg: ideal for a first taste (40 min, from €69)
  • Flight over the castles of Alsace: from the Haut-Koenigsbourg to the Ortenbourg, medieval architecture takes on a whole new dimension seen from above (40 min to 1 hr, from €82)
  • Flight over the Vosges: a longer flight towards the Grand Ballon or the Donon, perfect for taking in the ridges and forests of Alsace (1 hr 30, from €124)
  • Trip to Verdun, Annecy or Le Touquet: long-distance getaways (up to 5 hours’ flying) aboard a comfortable light touring aircraft

Every route is flown by an experienced pilot, often from the region, who shares their knowledge throughout the flight.

Helicopter or light aircraft: two ways to fly over the region

For those who prefer a vertical take-off, helicopter tours are also available very close to Strasbourg city centre (Neuhof) or from Colmar. The flights are shorter (20 to 40 minutes), but the thrill of the rotor and the bird’s-eye view over the rooftops of Alsace are unforgettable.

Comfort is guaranteed either way: whether aboard a DR400 or a modern helicopter, the aircraft are designed to give every passenger a clear view.

Affordable prices and flexible booking

Contrary to popular belief, this experience is not reserved for the elite. The shortest flights start at under €70 per person, with discounts possible depending on the time of year and the number of passengers. The longest routes, such as the trip to Annecy or Le Touquet, cost around €300.

Bookings are made directly online through the Wingly platform.

It puts certified pilots in touch with curious travellers. Times are flexible, and departures are arranged according to the weather and the pilots’ availability.

A flying experience that crosses borders

Just a few kilometres from Strasbourg, scenic flights are also available from Lahr, Offenburg, Baden-Baden or Colmar. These routes let you venture as far as the Black Forest, Lake Constance or the KSC stadium in Karlsruhe, offering a cross-border view of the landscapes of the Grand Est and south-west Germany.

Another way to travel… and to see your region differently

In Alsace, scenic flights are popular with locals too. Giving a flight as a gift, organising a surprise or simply rediscovering your own region from among the clouds: the appeal never fades.

Every flight becomes a moment suspended between sky and earth, where familiar landmarks fade away and give way to a feeling of freedom.

Wingly, the leading flight-sharing platform in Europe

Wingly has established itself as Europe’s leading flight-sharing platform, putting passionate pilots in touch with passengers keen to try something out of the ordinary. The platform gives access to more than 6,000 flight routes from over 2,000 airfields across the continent.

It works simply: once you have chosen a route, a flight request is sent to the pilot, who usually replies within 48 hours. On the day, you meet the pilot directly at the airfield for a briefing before boarding. More than 100,000 passengers have already taken off via the platform.

All pilot profiles are carefully checked. There are two types:

  • Private pilots, who share the cost of the flight without making a profit
  • Commercial operators, who offer services under a licence with an approved crew

Enzo

Hi, I'm Enzo! I'm the guy who loves lacing up his hiking boots to explore the rugged trails of the Vosges. Passionate about nature and photography, I take you along through articles that capture the scent of fir forests and the charm of mountain lakes. I live for those moments when the sun rises over the Haut-Koenigsbourg or when I stumble upon an authentic inn along the way. My goal? To inspire you to get out, breathe in the fresh Alsatian air, and always have a great spot for a tarte flambée to share at the end of the day.
