Fancy a trip to Alsace without breaking the bank? It is an entirely realistic plan. And the Cœur d’Alsace campsite, nestled on the banks of the Saar Coal Canal in Harskirchen in the Bas-Rhin, is the best proof of that. This 2-star site offers a holiday experience to suit every budget. Find out more about the surprises awaiting you among the forests of the Northern Vosges, a fishing lake and unusual accommodation.
Some of the most affordable prices in the region
If you are looking for an affordable campsite in Alsace that makes no compromises on the welcome or the natural setting, Cœur d’Alsace stands out from the crowd. Pitches at this cheap campsite in Alsace start at €17 a night in low season for one person with a tent and a bike. They rise to €22 for two people with a vehicle and electricity.
In high season, these prices remain very reasonable, at €20 and €27 respectively. There is no comparison with the prices charged at the big seaside resorts or at the starred campsites in busier tourist areas. Here, affordability is not a marketing slogan. It is a reality you can check for yourself as soon as you book.

Unusual accommodation for every budget
Beyond the classic pitches, the campsite offers several original rental options designed for different kinds of holidaymakers. The lodge tents stand on the edge of the lake on individual, leafy plots. They sleep up to 5 people from €350 a week in low season, or €55 a night with a minimum stay of two nights. In other words, it is a comfortable option with a real change of scene, ideal for a family who want to enjoy the outdoors without giving up a proper bed.
The Cabahuttes, meanwhile, appeal to those after a cosier stay. These small wooden cabins, equipped with a kitchenette and beds for 4 people, are available from €420 a week in low season. This rises to €550 in high season.
For the more adventurous, or cyclists touring along EuroVelo 5, the bivouac tents at €35 a night for two people offer a simple, affordable stopover. They are ideally located on the small island in the middle of the lake.

Choosing the Cœur d’Alsace campsite also gives you access to a region overflowing with treasures. The Northern Vosges Regional Nature Park stretches out just a few kilometres away, with its hiking trails, clearings and lakes. Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle, the Alsace Wine Route and the half-timbered streets of Strasbourg with its Petite France quarter can be reached in around an hour to an hour and a half.
Anglers don’t even need to leave the campsite. The on-site lake is home to pike-perch, roach, pike and carp, with day permits at €10 and weekly permits at €30.
A volleyball court, a children’s playground, a snack bar open from 1 May to mid-September, a baby kit, a gas barbecue, a launderette and free Wi-Fi at reception: you have everything you need for a hassle-free stay.
Enzo
Hi, I'm Enzo! I'm the guy who loves lacing up his hiking boots to explore the rugged trails of the Vosges. Passionate about nature and photography, I take you along through articles that capture the scent of fir forests and the charm of mountain lakes. I live for those moments when the sun rises over the Haut-Koenigsbourg or when I stumble upon an authentic inn along the way. My goal? To inspire you to get out, breathe in the fresh Alsatian air, and always have a great spot for a tarte flambée to share at the end of the day.
