Visiting Altwiller (67): an unforgettable experience

Visiting Altwiller showed me a side of Alsace that often goes unnoticed. With some hiking friends, we decided to spend a weekend there. While we were exploring the little paths around the watermill, a chance encounter with a villager taught us more about local traditions. It was a memorable moment, as it showed just how friendly Alsatians are. Every hike led us to a view even more beautiful than the last, and tasting choucroute in a local restaurant was a real culinary revelation. I was particularly charmed by the stunt riding and the magic of the equestrian shows, an experience I warmly recommend. Strolling through the streets of Altwiller, I felt the soul of Alsace blossoming on every corner. These memories, this blend of nature, culture and hospitality, will stay with me long after I have left. Altwiller is without doubt a must for anyone who wants a taste of authentic Alsace.

Enzo

Hi, I'm Enzo! I'm the guy who loves lacing up his hiking boots to explore the rugged trails of the Vosges. Passionate about nature and photography, I take you along through articles that capture the scent of fir forests and the charm of mountain lakes. I live for those moments when the sun rises over the Haut-Koenigsbourg or when I stumble upon an authentic inn along the way. My goal? To inspire you to get out, breathe in the fresh Alsatian air, and always have a great spot for a tarte flambée to share at the end of the day.
