In the heart of Alsace, the small village of Kintzheim is a hidden gem. Between its colourful half-timbered houses and stunning vineyard landscapes, every street corner holds a surprise. Whether for a family holiday or a romantic getaway, Kintzheim has something to charm every visitor. With its many activities, its authenticity and its proximity to major tourist sites, this commune is definitely worth lingering in.

My personal verdict on Kintzheim

Visiting Kintzheim was a hugely rewarding experience for me! Far less crowded than other Alsatian destinations, it has a unique charm. My first encounter with Haut-Koenigsbourg castle is etched in my memory – a climb that was well worth it for the stunning view at the top. Wandering through the winding lanes, I often felt the warmth and hospitality of the locals, every conversation an invitation to discover another corner of this lovely village. Eating a flammekueche in a local winstub while listening to stories about the region added an authentic touch to my stay. For me, Kintzheim is much more than a simple stop on the Wine Route: it is a place of sharing and authenticity, not to be missed on your next trip to Alsace. I go back whenever I get the chance, and every visit gives me a fresh perspective on this beautiful region, which combines nature, culture and fine food in a green setting.

Enzo

Hi, I'm Enzo! I'm the guy who loves lacing up his hiking boots to explore the rugged trails of the Vosges. Passionate about nature and photography, I take you along through articles that capture the scent of fir forests and the charm of mountain lakes. I live for those moments when the sun rises over the Haut-Koenigsbourg or when I stumble upon an authentic inn along the way. My goal? To inspire you to get out, breathe in the fresh Alsatian air, and always have a great spot for a tarte flambée to share at the end of the day.
