A unique architectural heritage
In the heart of Strasbourg, the cloister of the church of Saint-Pierre-le-Jeune is an outstanding example of medieval architecture. Built in the 11th century, it is the only fully preserved cloister in the city. Its three Romanesque galleries, with slender round columns and square pillars, offer a rare glimpse of Romanesque art in Alsace.

A history of transformations
Over the centuries, the cloister has undergone several changes. In the 14th century, the east gallery was rebuilt in Gothic style, contrasting with the existing Romanesque galleries. In the 18th century, renovations introduced Baroque elements, partly replacing the original structures. Despite these transformations, the cloister has kept its charm and authenticity.

Enzo
Hi, I'm Enzo! I'm the guy who loves lacing up his hiking boots to explore the rugged trails of the Vosges. Passionate about nature and photography, I take you along through articles that capture the scent of fir forests and the charm of mountain lakes. I live for those moments when the sun rises over the Haut-Koenigsbourg or when I stumble upon an authentic inn along the way. My goal? To inspire you to get out, breathe in the fresh Alsatian air, and always have a great spot for a tarte flambée to share at the end of the day.
