The Route of the Olympic Flame in Alsace
On June 26, 2024, the Olympic flame will cross Alsace, passing through several emblematic cities of Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin. This unique route offers the opportunity for residents and visitors of the region to experience an exceptional moment by following the relay of the flame.
Mulhouse: The Start of the Adventure
The city of Mulhouse will be the starting point of this memorable day. Starting at 8:30 AM, the Olympic flame will launch in front of the city hall before traveling through the iconic streets of the city, notably passing through Place de la Réunion and Stade de l’Ill. Don’t miss this moment filled with emotions and pride.
Huningue: A Symbolic Stop
At 9:45 AM, the flame will make a detour to Huningue, offering a symbolic spectacle along the borders of France with Germany and Switzerland. The Passerelle des 3 pays will witness this unique moment before heading towards Place Abbatucci at 10:05 AM.
Colmar: At the Heart of Alsatian Tradition

Lembach – Fleckenstein: A Historic Stop
At the Château de Fleckenstein in Lembach, the Olympic flame will rise at 5:15 PM. This classified historic monument will provide an exceptional setting for this unique moment, enhancing the symbolism of the event.
Strasbourg: The Apex of the Route
The Olympic flame will complete its journey in Strasbourg, the capital of Alsace. Follow its route starting at 5:50 PM, passing through emblematic sites such as the European Parliament, Petite France, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. The day will conclude beautifully in Place Kléber at 7:30 PM.
