Ingredients for 4 people
- 1.5 kg of raw sauerkraut
- 1 kg of Strasbourg sausages
- 1 kg of smoked bacon
- 4 large onions
- 1 bottle of Alsatian white wine
- 4 potatoes
Preparation Steps: Sauerkraut Recipe
- Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- Wash the cabbage and cut it into strips.
- Peel and chop the onions.
- In a cast iron pot, heat the olive oil and brown the onions in it.
- Add the sauerkraut and the white wine and let it cook for 30 minutes.
- Add the sausages and bacon, and bake for 20 minutes.
- Serve with the potatoes.

To accompany your sauerkraut, we recommend a dry white wine from Alsace such as Riesling or Gewurztraminer.
